As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at the people, support, and impact our community made possible.
By the Numbers
Through November 2025, Helping Hands Hawai‘i served:
- 33,218 individuals
- 20,043 households
Behind every number is a person, a family, and a moment when help mattered.
Supporting Stability Through Financial Care
Our Representative Payee Services helped clients stay on track and supported daily financial stability by:
- Processing 28,400 bill payments
- Maintaining a 96% on-time payment rate
- Supporting budgeting for 88% of clients
- Responding to an average of 248 calls per month
Meeting Basic Needs Through the Community Clearinghouse
Our Community Clearinghouse continued to be a critical safety net:
- 71,400 household items distributed, valued at more than $304,600
- $105,000+ in financial assistance provided to prevent eviction and utility shutoffs
- 23 financial literacy workshops attended by more than 135 people
- 3,000+ school supply kits distributed, valued at over $152,400
- 550 families supported through holiday programs (and counting)
The impact was felt deeply:
- About 96% of households said material and financial assistance helped stabilize their situation and reduced their overall burden
- One client shared, “Without this program, I would never have made it as a single mom.”
Expanding Access to Food and Resources
Through SNAP Outreach, our team met people where they were:
- 170+ outreach events and 409 hours in the community
- 16 new community partnerships established
- $26,600+ in grocery gift cards distributed while families waited for SNAP approval
The results were clear:
- 99% of approved households said SNAP improved their overall quality of life
- 90% said it helped them access more nutritious food
Breaking Language Barriers
Our Bilingual Access Line ensured language never prevented care:
- 1,145 interpreting appointments and translation projects
- 24 languages supported
- 100% of clients reported improved understanding and service access

None of this work happens alone. Through November:
- 350+ volunteers
- 1,860+ hours served
- $62,300+ in volunteer service value
