Volunteers Needed for Ready to Learn Distribution Events
Ready to Learn distribution events are being held across Oahu to help ease the financial burden of back-to-school shopping for families facing hardship while ensuring students have what they need for the first day of school.
This year’s initiative aims to provide 3,000 students across Hawaii with backpacks filled with notebooks, binders, pencils, pens, and other classroom essentials.
Backpacks are available to students while supplies last, and walk-ins are welcome. Families seeking more information can email rtl@helpinghandshawaii.org.

Distribution Event: 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
