“Growing up in Kalihi with immigrant parents, I benefited from services, like our Adopt a Family. It’s a great feeling to come full circle and be able to give back what I received as a child.”
Mae serves as the SNAP Outreach Program Manager, where she oversees outreach strategies, builds partnerships with local organizations, and works directly with community members to provide education and support around SNAP eligibility and enrollment. She is committed to increasing awareness about nutritional benefits and ensuring that services are delivered with clarity, respect, and efficiency to the needs of the community.
Mae graduated from McKinley High School. She has her associate’s degree in human services from Honolulu Community College and her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Fun Fact: Mae’s favorite movie is “Howl’s Moving Castle.”
