Helping Hands Hawai‘i Receives $10,425 from Bay View Golf Tournament
Helping Hands Hawai‘i is grateful to Bay View Golf Course, Chun’s Meat Market, Jolene’s and everyone who helped make the Bay View Golf Tournament an incredible day of community and giving.
A team of 15 Helping Hands Hawai‘i board members, staff, and volunteers joined the event, lending a hand throughout the course. Volunteers explained games and challenges at tee boxes, watched for hole-in-ones, and connected with golfers throughout the day.
The day concluded with pupus, dinner, prize giveaways and a special check presentation, where Helping Hands Hawai‘i received $10,425 from the tournament, the largest contribution the event has made to a nonprofit to date. An additional $1,350 in donations was raised on the course, bringing even more support to Helping Hands Hawai‘i programs and services.
We extend a special mahalo to the Chun and Lam families for their generosity and hospitality, as well as Board members Drew Nagai and Greg Garlson, the many family members, businesses, golfers and volunteers who came together to make the event possible. We are also grateful to the volunteers from Target, Human Interest and Hawaii Tech Support who joined Team HHH for the day.
Support like this helps Helping Hands Hawai‘i continue providing critical services to local individuals and families working toward greater stability and self-sufficiency.
Mahalo to everyone who made the Bay View golf tournament a success and chose to give back to our community.
